VIP’s Meridian Knowledge Solutions Releases New Version of its Flagship Learning Management System (LMS)
Chantilly, Va. - May 29, 2008 - Visionary Integration Professionals’ (VIP) Talent and Learning Management practice – dba Meridian Knowledge Solutions - has released a new version of its flagship product, Meridian Global LMS, which delivers, analyzes and manages training via the Internet. Meridian Global LMS 2008.2 gives managers easy-to-use functions for carrying out employee performance reviews, staying on top of compliance training and building online communities.
"Version 2008.2 offers a quick and easy way for managers to tackle performance evaluations," said Dave DeVaux, Director of IT. "As performance evaluation products become more and more complicated, they run the risk of becoming too hard to use. The new LMS features a simple interface that allows users to perform tasks quickly and efficiently. The performance evaluation feature allows managers to quickly set or edit work goals for each employee using a template. The compliance training feature compiles training requirements for each job title or role, and sends email notifications to employees on behalf of supervisors when training is due. The system can remind workers about recurring training and licensing tests, and notify managers when employees conclude their training.
In addition to improved tools, menus and user interface, Meridian Global 2008.2 also features "collaboration spaces" -- online communities where employees can carry out or augment training. For example, if a group attends a classroom training session, the Meridian LMS can enable attendees to form an online group to discuss or reinforce the material covered in a class.
